The US Dept of Labor and Industry has tool syou can use to research the Consumer Price Index (correct terminology). http://www.bls.gov/cpi/#tables It might take a little nosing around to find what you are looking for, but generally CPI's are pulished for geographic areas, not specific towns, unless you're talking about a major city. Also, as far as I know, there are no prospective numbers... they're historical.
