The typical household plug is made from
pins: brass
reason: cheap, wear and corrosion resistant and a good conductor (not compared to gold/silver/plat/copper)
process: forging/casting (not sure)
housing: ABS or PVC
reason: cheap, easy to colour, corrosion resistant, easy to clean, hard wearing

Conductors
The pins are made from brass (copper and zinc alloy) and can be extruded or forged with a secondary process to drill and tap the holes for the screw.
The fuse element is made from drawn copper.
The fuse clip is made from copper.
The fuse ends are made from copper.
Insulators
The plug casing can be injection moulded or compression moulded and is normally made from urea formaldehyde or phenol formaldehyde.
The cord grip is made from nylon.
The pin sheath is made from PVC.
The fuse body is made from a ceramic known as alumina.
The cable grip screws and the main screw are made from steel whilst the pin screw is made from brass.
