In the book, Sabrina, Puck and Daphne move through the stories in "The Book of Everafter" to try to find Mirror and their baby brother. Puck gets hungry, so he eats one of the Witch's poisoned apples meant for Snow White.

A little later at the end, they find their brother and Mirror goes into their brother's body. The whole family is there (minus Jake, Elvis and Red) and Granny Relda gets the Wicked Witch (in Snow White) to remove Mirror from the boy. When Mirror is removed, he tries to enter Sabrina or Daphne's body, but Relda gets him to enter her body. She kills Charming.

Later, Daphne tells Sabrina that she has to kiss Puck so he can wake up. But she says that she doesn't love him (Puck can only be woken up by the kiss of someone who loves him.). Daphne tells her just to do it and she does. Puck wakes up. Proving that Sabrina is in love with Puck (who started to plan their wedding during the whole book).

When they exit the Book, Henry and Veronica come up for a name for Sabrina and Daphne's little brother, Basil Grimm II. At the end, the Grimms decide that the only way to stop Mirror, was to get everyone to help. They need to ask Baba Yaga for help.

The story ends with a "To be concluded" which means that the ninth book of The Sisters Grimm, will be the final book in the series.
