The purpose of the Ayn Rand Institute is to promote the philosopher Ayn Rand's beliefs. They set up companies around the world to promote his sayings. Their company started in 1914 to try and convert other philosophers to him. The company ultimately succeeded and is still active today, even though Ayn Rand has died.
