There are no real benefits to running Windows 2000 instead of Windows 7.
Windows 2000 is no longer supported so any security vulnerabilities will not be patched and any issues will not be corrected.
The only real reason someone would want to run Windows 2000 instead of Windows 7 or Windows XP would be that their computer's hardware is not capable of running the newer operating systems.
