The Bible mentions harvest many times and you can see the references in the Web Link to the left. Like the man said, harvests are mentioned fairly often, though only on specific topics, such as the winning of souls for Christ. The Bible calls the church age the time of reaping, as the sowing (work) has been done, which includes all of the work done by the OT prophets, the NT prophets/ apostles, and Jesus Himself.

The topic of harvest is increasingly important as in the end times, in which we live, the crop (the people) will be divided into wheat and tares. The fire (Tribulation) divides God's children (the true wheat) from the unbelievers (fakes) as His people are not going to experience those INFAMOUS 7 years (2 periods of 3 1/2 years, of which the latter is exceedingly more hellacious). I thank my God that I, as well as any other true Christian, will not be on earth during the tribulation, as He takes literally up in the rapture to be with Him for those 7 years. However, it has been said, and is believed by a good few, that unbelievers can be saved during the tribulation, though that is one of the most controversial topics of the Bible ever. With that theory (as these things are future events), there is another theory that people cannot be saved during the tribulation. This is said because of the fact that in the tribulation God will, for a time, not deal with man as He has done for most of our history. Non-believers benefit unknowlingly from God's effacious grace, which is grace that is bestowed to all, regardless of who they are or who they worship or falsely worship. It is said, that during the tribulation, this general grace will be gone, which could explain why the people may not be able to be saved, as the Holy Spirit may not be here to deal with the hearts of man.
