Capricorn are very intellectual, hardworking, and most of all, business savvy. Capricorns(metaphorically)climb every mountain with caution and boldness. Capricorns are also serious, driven, and goal-orientated. A lot of Capricorns are so serious, that they barely know how to have fun(I'm a cap too), in fact, if you even try to get a cap to have fun, they'll, we'll, give you a thousand reasons why our responsibility won't have it. Serious, yes.

But, a Capricorn isn't all he/she seem to be, in fact, we love to have fun, you just gotta figure out how to do it. Now, if you try to pull any funny tricks on us, that would be plain ugly(we can tell if you are doing so), suspicious, eh, you could say that. He/she will probably just tell you that they're being cautious.

The sign Capricorn is one of the most stable and (mostly) serious of the zodiacal types. These independent, rocklike characters have many sterling qualities. They are normally confident, strong willed and calm. These hardworking, unemotional, shrewd, practical, responsible, persevering, and cautious to the extreme persons, are capable of persisting for as long as is necessary to accomplish a goal they have set for themselves. Capricorn

are reliable workers in almost any profession they undertake. They are the major finishers of most projects started by the 'pioneering' signs; with firm stick-to-it-ness they quickly become the backbone of any company they work for.

Its name is Latin for "horned male goat" or "goat horn"

Despite its faintness, Capricornus has one of the oldest mythological associations, having been consistently represented as a hybrid of a goat and a fish since the Middle Bronze Age, first attested in depictions on boundary stones, and explicitly recorded in the Babylonian star catalogues as "The Goat-Fish" before 1000 BC. The constellation was a symbol of Ea and in the Early Bronze Age marked the winter solstice.

Uncited sources say:

This constellation is sometimes identified as Amalthea, the goat that suckled the infant Zeus after his mother Rhea saved him from being devoured by his father Cronos in Greek mythology. The goat's broken horn was transformed into the cornucopia or horn of plenty. Some ancient sources claim that this derives from the sun "taking nourishment" while in the constellation, in preparation for its climb back northward.

However, the constellation is more often depicted as a goat with a fish's tail. One myth says that when the goat-god Pan was attacked by the monster Typhon, he dove into the Nile; the parts above the water remained a goat, but those under the water transformed into a fish.

In Sumer, the constellation was associated with the god Enki (Babylonian Ea), who brought culture out of the sea to humankind.

The apparent paucity of stars within Capricornus, and the contrasting abundance within Sagittarius (which contains the brightest part of the Milky Way, was given a mythological explanation in Ancient Greece: due to early Greek beliefs that sin accumulated throughout the year, causing the darkness to increase, together with the sun's descent and pause at the Solstice, the ancient Greeks referred to this area of sky as the 'Augean Stable', where they considered the sun stabled during the year. The cause of the association with the location or name of Augeas is not currently known.
