At a recent talk the Dalai Lama was asked this very question and he told the audience 'Green'. Now whether or not that was a tongue in cheek answer considering he was wearing a red robe and sitting in a red chair, I leave to you, but as the colour of nature it may well be his favourite. To some extent the Buddhist colours are not necessarily his choice.
