I have the very same TV bought at Wal-Mart and hooked up to The Dish Network and I have been working all day to get the Dish remote to work. I cannot shut off the TV or change volume with that remote, have to use the Emerson remote for those 2 functions. I have called Dish and no help. I finally called Emerson and the TV is going back to Wal-Mart because that model and probably other 32" models did not come with codes. John just buy the $20 apex learning universal remote at walmart in the pink box and program it using the learning function. its easy to do and works great.
