Yugaantham యుగాంతం literally means 'end of millennium or an epoch', that is end (antham అంతం) of an epoch (yugam యుగం).

Some scholars say 'Apocalypse' may be nearest equivalent word to indicate Yugaantham యుగాంతం wherein a cosmic cataclysm destroys the ruling powers of the Evil.

According to Indian ancient texts, at the time of Yugaantham యుగాంతం the complete Creation is destroyed and when nothing would remain except The Creator, which is called as Pralayam ప్రళయ.
