Often minerals are added to processed foods so that the FDA will approve them for sale to the public.
i think they put calcium chloride in foods so that we can stay healthy! :) calcium gives us protein (I've heard somewhere I'm just not sure how it does that) ------------------------- Hi i see you are questioning Calcium Chloride.., yeah i see it as an added ingredient in Smart Water and they supposedly say its an electrolyte which means it defends the immune system but then why is it being used in icy roads to break up black ice? that has me questioning whether or not it is safe, and seeing how everyone never really gives accurate info on Google or the internet... there is no way to really find out the only way is to call the FDA and confirm that it is a food grade compound.
The FDA
The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) does not have any role in regulating supplements because supplements are neither "food" nor "drug."

There appears to be no publicly available FDA sponsored sanitation information relating directly to cereal. The FDA's Sanitation and Treatment Handbook does not list cereal directly. (opinion) this may be because the regulations apply to the manufacture of the Ingredients (like wheat, Flour, sugar, dyes, etc) which are all listed at source 1.Cereal is listed at source 2 but that's nutritional portion information. so the FDA does acknowledge its existence as a Human staple food.
One source of information about food safety is the FDA, or the Food and Drug Administration. The FDA monitors everything from what ingredients are able to be used in food to how many bugs are allowed in the canning process.
FDA's website has a lot of good information (www dot fda dot gov), as well as FSIS' website (www dot fsis dot usda dot gov).

Wood pallets are not easily cleaned and sanitized, so they could be a possible source of contamination in a food preparation area. That, along with the possibility of being a foreign object source (wood splinters or nails), is the reason FDA doesn't like wood pallets near exposed food.
The Blood Balance enhancement detailing is made protected and compelling with 100 percent unadulterated regular source with practically no added substances. In any case, to guarantee the protected measurements of the Blood Balance , the maker has made them under the FDA-endorsed and GMP-confirmed office as FDA doesn't assess the dietary enhancements.
It's best to ask a dietitian, and the FDA website has a list of chemical compounds used in food. Calcium citrate is a white powder with a sour taste that is not very soluble in water. It's alkalizing, that is, makes the stomach less acidic.
SANDwiches are not regulated by the FDA.
I would say it is probably not unsafe to take them, in fact, I highly doubt that Calcium would ever go bad (Calcium Carbonate is basically chalk). According to FDA standards, the expiration date is the point at which 90% of the medication still remains- meaning if anything, it will be less effective than it would have been. But really, some new calcium supplements should cost $2.00- just take generic tums (Calcium Carbonate). Look for them in the antacid section!
