55 Cad firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Cylinder # 1 is on the driver side, front, closest to bumper, 2 is across. So the driver side is 1, 3, 5, 7 as you get closer to the windshield. #1 on the distributor should be closest to the windshield, but no guarantees as someone might have moved the distributor. Spark is 2.5 degrees BTDC. Good luck !
