Getting Mew

Continue your game until you get HM Fly but DO NOT battle the youngster on the road to Bill's house facing north with lv. 17 slowpoke (4th trainer after you cross nugget bridge), or the gambler on rte. 8 between Lavender and Saffron City with Poliwags and Poliwhirls facing north toward the door to the underground path. Bring the Pokemon that knows Fly with you this whole cheat. Now fly to rte. 8 and stand in front of the door to the underground path and SAVE THE GAME. Take one step down from the door and IMMEDIATELY press start in the process so the gambler doesn't see you. If you succeed the menu will pop up so select the Pokemon that knows Fly and fly to Cerulean. Now go up nugget bridge again and battle the slowpoke trainer described above. DO NOT walk up to him. Let him walk up to you. When you win fly to Lavender and head west into rte. 8. As soon as you enter the start menu should pop up automatically. Press B to exit and... ta-da! A lv. 7 Mew should appear! and die lol
