Are you thinking of the Mohawk River which meets up with the Hudson River around Waterford, New York (it's a bit north of Albany, NY)? It doesn't "flow through" the Hudson per se, but is the only thing I can think of as they do join up.
It is 102 miles according to Google Maps.
