To remove the chinstrap from a PASGT helmet, first locate the attachment points on either side of the helmet. Gently pull the chinstrap away from the helmet to release it from the clips or hooks. If the chinstrap is secured with a snap or buckle, carefully unfasten it. Once detached, you can fully remove the chinstrap from the helmet.
Yes. They wear the same ACH helmet that the rest of the Army wears (save for some units which have lower priority for newer equipment, and might still have the MICH or PASGT helmet), and they wear the cover with it.
Some rear area units may still have the PASGT flak vests, but forward deployed units will have either the Interceptor Body Armour, or the newer Improved Outer Tactical Vest. Additionally, there is the PASGT Kevlar combat helmet, and the newer MICH TC-2000 combat helmet.
