This reaction, if performed as a solvothermal reaction in ethylenediamine will result in iron pyrite nanowires. If instead benzene is used as the solvent, nanoscale iron pyrite spheres should result.
No chemical reaction would take place. The sulfuric acid would just dehydrate nitric of most if not all of its water depending on the acid's concentration.
However, a proper mixture of the right concentrations of sulfuric and nitric acid makes a strong nitrating solution, which can be used to make nitrocellulose.
2 HNO3 (aq) + Na2S (aq) --> 2 NaNO3 (aq) + H2S (aq)
Both the products are soluble, so there is no reaction.
When sulphur reacts with nitric acid, nitric acid oxidised the sulphur in to sulphuric acid and releases nitrogen oxides.
I have the same question. I believe it's:
(Na2)S + (H2)(SO4) --> (Na2)(SO4) + (H2)S
An acid-base transfer. H2SO4 will lose a proton, while SO3 will gain one. The net products will be HSO4 (-1) + HSO3 (-1).
2HNO3 + S = 2NO + H2SO4
(The reaction needs some heating. NO is easily converted to NO2 and may produce new nitric acid)
no sodium do not react with nitric acid because nitric acid is a strong oxidizing agent....
Sulfuric acid is more stronger than Nitric acid, but Nitric acid is more reactive than Sulfuric acid.
Nitric Acid
Sulfuric acid = H2SO4 Nitric acid = HNO3
Nitric acid = Aqua Fortis, Spirit of Nitre Sulfuric acid = Oil of Vitriol, or simply Vitriol
Gold does not react with sulfuric acid.The only acid that gold reacts with is aqua regia: a mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, optimally in a molar ratio of 1:3.
Sulfuric acid, Hydrochloric acid, Nitric acid, Phosphoric Acid

nitric acid be used insted of hypophrosphous acid

Nitric acid and sulfuric acid.

No. Nitric acid is a very strong acid. However, it's not the strongest acid in the world, though. Sulfuric acid is stronger than nitric acid, but the carbonic superacids are also stronger than sulfuric acid.
Not exactly. Acid rain does contain abnormally high amounts of nitric acid and sulfuric acid, but the concentrations are still very dilute.

the two acids are sulfuric acid and nitric acid
They are both dangerous. But if I had to choose, I would say nitric acid. Even if sulfuric acid could cause thermal burns along with chemical burns due to its dehydrating properties, it is nowhere as toxic as nitric acid.
