From my personal experience Ultram is probably the safest pain medication. It in my opinion is the least addictive of all the prescription analgesics. It is mostly used for mild pain. Oxycodone (percocet, oxycontin) & Morphine, Dilaudid, & Demerol are some of the most dangerous. It really depends what type of pain you are in. If mild I would ask for Ultram (tramadol); if moderate to severe I would ask for Vicodin/Vicocet (hydrocodone). I am not a doctor & this is just an opinion from someone that is in pain often. I hope you make the safest & best decision for yourself. And please remember painkillers of any kind have the potential to become addictive. Be careful. ;^}
If taking an over the counter pain medication for stomach pain, it is best to stay away from NSAIDS such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. They can further irritate the stomach. Acetaminophen is usually pretty easy on the stomach. However, if this is the first time searching for a medication for your stomach, it is best to talk to a doctor to find out the cause before taking medication. Stomach pain often has different causes than a headache or sore muscle that many OTC pain medications are not designed to treat.
Movement is better than exercise according to UC Berkely School of Medicine.
The most natural way to bring muscles to rest is called a pandiculation. In 1680, Herman Boerhaave, the founder of clinical medicine noted this.
Today, pandiculations have been systematized as somatic exercises which are simple, easy movements which get the brain to release chemicals of relaxation.
When muscles remember to let go, there is a sense of relief.
You can find a Hanna Somatic Educator who can teach you how to do somatics exercises.
