The US Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) is one of 5 Federal Service Academies located in Kings Point, NY. All Federal Service Academies have 4 year programs and graduates will have a BS degree in Engineering. Unlike the other Academies, a USMMA Graduate can select to be commissioned in ANY OTHER military or Coast Guard commissioning program (ie, they can graduate and become a Naval Aviator, Marine Corps Infantry Officer, Air Force Special Ops Officer, or Army Infantry Officer).
