The first U.S. dollars were struck in 1794. It's likely that you have a fantasy piece or something similar that was made to resemble a real coin, or possibly even an outright counterfeit.
Your best bet would be to first check for the small word COPY worked into the design; that's legally required on all replica pieces. If the word isn't visible anywhere, you'll have to get a dealer or appraiser to examine the coin in person.
