To replace the taillight bulbs open rear door, remove the two Phillips screws, pull the whole lamp assembly to the rear, unplug the wiring from the lamp assembly. Now remove the four small Phillips screws on the back. The socket will just pull off and you can get to the bulbs. GM had a recall on the socket assembly because of tail lamps not working. Before reassembling the unit you can just plug the socket in to check if all lmps are working, If not and the lamps appear good bend outward the small wire loops on the lamp to make a better connection

If you are getting a door ajar light on the dash and the interior light is coming on when you stop for a redlight/stopsign, and you get the door ajar dinging after the key is removed from the ignition, here is the solution. First, remove the 40 amp Maxifuse from under the hood labeled Right Electrical Center (includes Int. lmps, Daytime Running Lamps, Fog lamps, Body Function Control Module and Radio). This will prevent the interior lights from draining the battery. Then purchase a new Body Function Control Module. The old unit should be located under the dashboard on the Passenger Side of the car. You can google the part name to get a picture of it.

When you remove the cover inside the lid you will find a diagram of what each fuse is used for. Find the one that says inst lmps and locate it among the fuses. You can pull it straight out and check it to see if its blown.
