It's about the adventurous journey of Odysseus to return home to his native island of Ithaca after the fall of Troy. It is a story of gods and monsters he encounters and fights on the way, and finally of him finding his Court to have been taken over by foreign princes competing for the hand of what they consider Odysseus' widow - and his killing of every one of them, including the people in his Court who had sided with them.
