Yes, temperature does affect crystal growth. Hot water makes the crystals grow faster because the hotter the water, the hotter the crystal solution will be which makes the molecules move faster. This movement allows water to evaporate quicker leaving particles behind to form into crystals.

Supersaturation is when the concentration of a species in solution is greater than what it would theoretically be at equilibrium. An example of supersaturation is dissolving table salt in water. Supersaturation is also dependent on the solubility of the species in question. As the solubility of the species increases, then the supersaturation decreases. Temperature has an affect ont the grwoth of crystals, i dont know why but I did an experiment and the crystal in a warm place grew much better then one in a colder temp.
