Age is not the only factor that is considered when deciding when someone is a good candidate for this surgery. Of course the older a person gets, the more complications can arise. Also the younger a patient is when having hip replacement surgery, the faster they usually heal, but this is not true in all cases. If you are considering hip replacement, I suggest an in depth conversation with your doctor and having multiple opinions.
