1930, check the date code stamped on the barrel. Remington Society of America, Manufactured Date link has the details.
This serial number Model 24 was manufactured sometimebetween 1922 and 1935. Approximately 130,420 were made during that time.
No way to tell- serial numbers are not unique to only one firearm. Need model- and for remington, they are better dated using the 2 or 3 LETTER code stamped on left rear of the barrel.
It's second have of 90's but the date code stamped on it is best to tell month/year short of a call to Remington. I've added a link to the Remington Society of America with the date code information.
If it's not marked it's a model 12B (B is short only/Gallery model) made in 1912 the value is dependent on original condition. From a 200 beater to a 1,200 like new or more in the original box.
.22 short until 1923 then lr added, should be marked. Serial 50,000 is 1927 so it could be either.
A Remington Model 700 chambered for the 7mm 08 cartridge would be a short action as the cartridge is based on the .308 Win.
Remington didn't make a model 6 with a serial number in the 500K they stopped just short of that. Manufactured from 1901 or 1933, if made after 1921 it will have the date code stamped on the left side of barrel by the receiver. A diagram and decoding can be found on the Remington Society of America site. http://remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/barrelcodes
What caliber is it? The length of the rifle cartridge determines if it is a long or short action.
I need a model # ! Sounds like it could be a model 12 which sell for $125 to $400 depending on condition. Send me some more details.
Depends greatly on the model, serials are not unique. If the gun was manufactured after 1920 check the date code stamps on the barrel. Details on the Remington Society of America on the Manufactured Date link.
Perfect condition, 28" BBl with Rem chokes, $350.00. Short rifle sighted slug BBl with no chokes $290.
Probably a Remington Model 12 -? depends on barrel, ammo made in 1914.
