This gun is chambered for .38 Smith & Wesson (called 38 S&W) NOT .38 Smith & Wesson Special (called 38 Special). If it is in good condition it should fire modern 38 S&W ammunition, which is loaded down to permit using it in older guns. If the gun is worn or loose, have it checked by a gunsmith before using it. The life you save may be your own.
The value of an Iver Johnson Magnum 22 caliber revolver would be dependent upon a number of factors. Some of these factors would be the age and condition.
30/40 30 40 Krag
.32 S&W ammo
Between $5 and $50 unless it has unusual features.
where and when the ammunition was manufactured.
Without knowing the model and caliber, we can't tell. A serial number ALONE does not identify a gun.
We need to know the model, possibly the serial number, and definitely the CONDITION to estimate a value. 30 WCF just tells us what ammunition to buy for it.
Yes Iver Johnson made a 38 caliber revolver. I have one that my older brother (age 94) gave me which I think was my Mothers weapon. I just got it back from a gunsmith friend of mine and he took it apart and cleaned and checked it out and said it is ready to fire. He told me to be sure and specify 38 S&W ammunition for it. The only number I could find (36210) is on the bottom of the trigger guard which I assume is the serial # Carl W. Southerland Bossier City, LA Ret. USAF
The value of an 1896 Iver Johnson 22 caliber 7 shot revolver is dependent upon a number of factors. The condition of the revolver would need to be taken highly into consideration when determining the value.
$50-100, depending on condition.
Hello, I have an Iver Johnson 32 model 1893. I have found out plenty by using search engines such as google. I hope that will help you.
An Iver Johnson revolver in 32 caliber was used to assassinate President McKinley. 2 shots were fired, one hitting his breastbone did not penetrate, the second shot entered lower and damaged a number or organs. The bullet was not removed.
