I have seen two sold recently, with original box and packaging and at least 95% condition, for $510.00 and $550.00...
I believe the first 2 numbers of the serial, taken away from 100, equals your year of manufacture. In your case the numbers 22 would indicate that it was made in 1978. As for price, it depends on the condition. I bought one yesterday and paid $700 Australian for it. I might have paid too much but for a rifle steeped in history and with a reputation to match - I'll be passing it on to my kids in several decades - THAT makes it cheap I reckon.
Gun Trader's Guide says Model 39 Carbine from 1963-67 and lever action from 1922-38. There are also 39A, 39AS, 39M and a few others listed. Hope this helps.
