i'd love to see an xray to verify that the bone has filled in where you originally had the abscess. most dentists will NOT agree with me, but the truth is you don't have to do anything other than crown the tooth (i'd do a 3/4 crown). the dentists are trained to tell you that the tooth needs a medicated filling to facilitate healing. providing your dentist did all that they could to the very best of their ability, it is now up to your body to take care of any residual infection. a FANTASTIC question!
