ground water
A hailstorm is when the precipitation is composed of ice lumps. An ice storm is when the precipitation is freezing rain. The water stays liquid until when it hits the ground, and freezes where it hits.
Sleet is the type of precipitation that falls as liquid but then freezes instantly upon impact with the ground. This occurs when rain from a warmer layer of air falls through a colder layer near the ground, causing it to freeze before reaching the surface.
Hail can cause a large amount of damage if it very large.
It means the amount of rain, snow, or any other form of "falling water" that hits different locations on the Earth. When looking at precipitation tallies on maps, one can tell how much rainfall or snowfall specific regions see on a yearly basis.
Nimbus clouds usually produce precipitation. When this precipitation hits the surface of the earth, it can appear as hail, snow, hail, and rain.
This type of precipitation is known as sleet. Sleet forms when snowflakes partially melt as they fall through a warmer layer of air, then refreeze into ice pellets before reaching the ground.
Venus does have liquid alike mars because when the earth rotates it hits a cold spot and because the sun is so big it doesn't get any feed from the sun.

At or below zero degrees C, the precipitation could be snow, hail, sleet, or graupel. (Graupel is formed when a snowflake hits a droplet of supercooled water which freezes around it. More like tiny slushballs than hail.) Above 0C, the precipitation is probably liquid water, or rain.
What changes from days to day is the amount of sunlight we see on the moon. As the moon orbits the earth and the earth orbits the sun, the sun hits the moon at a different angle in relation to the earth.
