A young highschool girl, Kagome lives in modern Japan living an ordinary girl's life, that is until her 15th birthday. When her brother Sota is seen by the old well, she falls into it suddenly traveling to Ancient Japan, the Fedual Era. She then helps a half demon Inuyasha escape from the tree in which Kikyo a priestess bound him to. Kagome learns that she is indeed Kikyo's by mistake, her reincarnation and has spiritual powers. Inuyasha, the half demon pursues the shikon no tama, ( shikon jewel of four souls) to become a full fledged demon. But when a demon bird takes it, Kagome, using a bow and arrow shoots the bird, but causing the jewel to shatter into shards which can easily power a demon to a good amount of strength. Kagome, feeling it was her fault that it happened, Inuyasha and Kagome must work together in order to restore the jewel to it's entirety fullness self, and to destroy Naraku, the one who deceived Kikyo and Inuyasha, and caused great harm to many. Together along with allies along the way with the same goal: Destroy Naraku. Kagome and Inuyasha meet and become allies and travel together: Miroku the monk ( also known as the womanizer) Sango the demonslayer, Shippo the small fox demon, and Kirara the two tailed cat of Sango's .
