surface area? b/c that's the area of a 3-d object. But there is also volume.

SA=find the area of each face and add them together(1/2 base times height for triangles and B times H for rectangels)

V= the area of the base times the height

8cm 6cm 7cm 3cm

Area of triangle * 2 + perimeter of triangle * length.

What is the equation for the volume of a triangular prism?

The area of the cross section (the triangle) muliplied by the length of the prism. Area of triangle= 0.5 x base x height Then mulitply by the length the prism goes back

How do you find the lateral area of a triangle prism?

You can't.

Formula for volume of triangular prism?

To find the volume of a triangular prism, find the area of one of the triangles (base of the prism) first (base x height divided by 2). When you have the area of the triangle, then multiply the area of the triangle by the height of the prism, *not the height of the base.

What is formula of triangular prism?

The formula is Bxh where B is the base which is the area of the triangle and h is the height of the prism.

What is the formula for area for a triangular prism without the height?

It is impossible to find the area of a triangle with no height, if the triangle had no height it would not even be a triangle, just a angle.

What is the surface area of one side of a triangular prism?

It depends on the size of the triangular prism, but depending on the side of the prism you use the triangle area formula to find it or the rectangle area formula to find it.

What is the formula of surface area of the prism triangular?

2*area of triangular base + perimeter of triangle*length of prism.

What is the formula for finding the volume of a triangular based prism?

Volume = Area of the base X height of prism. This formula works for all prisms, not just triangular prisms. Area of a triangle = height of triangle X 1/2 X base of triangle.
