Anything faster than a 4.60 second forty yard dash is excellent. A high school cornerback would be expected to run at least a 4.80 second forty yard dash, though playing speed is much more important than timed speed on a track.
A high school cornerback who would like to play major college football (Division 1A [FBS]) would probably need to run a sub-4.60 forty, while elite prospects would need to run a 4.50 forty or better.
Around 5.2. If you run lower than that then you should play running back....
5.33m/s on average
Well I haven't really ran it yet but the average time would be 6 seconds flat. Good luck
Average time would be about 15-16 seconds A good time would be 14 seconds 13 seconds or less is amazing (girls) Average: 14-15 seconds Good: 13 seconds Amazing: 12 or less (would get you into States) (boys)
Two sports come to mind when I see the phrase "100 yards long". One is the field of play in American style football. Both college & NFL football. Excluding the 10 yard end zones, the regular field of play is 100 yards long. Also, in high school track, the old 100 yard dash is still an exciting event. A good time for high school kids in the 100 yard dash is 9.5 seconds. An average time is around 10 seconds.
If you stay in shape, your 40 yard dash time at age 40 should be just fractionally less than in your prime. I ran a 4.85 when I 23. When I was in better shape, 2 years ago at age 37, I ran a 5.05.
As a 100 yard dash sprinter in the 60's the average time would be about 10.2 to 10.3.
The NFL's fastest official 40 yard dash time was 4.25 seconds by cornerback Fabian Washington.
the average time a sophmore runs the 40 yd dash is 4.7 that's average . there are a few that can run it in 4.6 or 4.5 by their sophmore yr but that's cause their really fast

I would say a 6-6.5 is average, but yes 7.1 is a good starting time
The average size of an in-dash vehicle screen is 7".
The average speed of the world record in the 100m dash is around 37.58 km/h (23.35 mph).
I do not understand the question. Do want to know if the dash light should come on? Or should not come on? Which dash light are you talking about?
At primary school, everyone competed in one event, a 100m dash.
It is average.
Former Washington Redskins cornerback Darrell Green once ran the 40-yard dash in an unofficial time of 4.09 seconds. Rondel Melendez, a former wide receiver of the Atlanta Falcons, has the official record of 4.24, which he ran in the NFL draft combine event in 1999.
Chris Carr had a 40 yard dash time of 4.61 seconds at the NFL Combine. He is currently a cornerback for the New Orleans Saints.
