Snow and Ice

What is the average annual snowfall in Iceland?

20 inches
I dont know but I live in Reykjavik and it only snows in Reykjavik like between late october-march and then the spring comes but in the mountains it snows allt the time I think.

It doesn't always snow in the mountains, and neither in the highlands, but the snow just stays for a much longer time on mountain tops, because of colder temperatures.

The only areas in Iceland permanently covered with snow or ice are the glaciers, which, if anyone hasn't noticed, have been melting for the last 15.000 years or so because it's too warm.

And I actually don't know the average snowfall for Iceland, I was looking for that question, it also greatly varies between highland, lowland, plain, mountain, coast or north/south.
