The thermostat should be a 195 - the temp is right. Check the fuel rail pressure - and check the fuel pump. You may be suffering from vapor lock due to low pressures.
No, but if you start a water-cooled engine with a broken water pump, your engine will soon fail from extreme overheating.
i am looking were the cooled start sensor is on a 94 Saturn is at
you have a bad crank senser
Look visually; start engine and note worse vibration location. Sometimes , with engine cooled, shake engine by hand at different locations and note any looseness.
Not necessarily. I actually just overheated my air-cooled engine the other day. First, are you sure it is water-cooled? If so then more than likely you will need to replace certain parts in the engine such as piston, piston ring, etc. Or it would be cheaper to just buy a new engine.
We had the exact same problem with one of our vehicles. It would start when the engine was cool, but once the engine got hot it just shut down. It wouldn't start again till the engine cooled. The problem was fixed by replacing the module under the coil packs. It has to be tested while still hot to be able to determine if it's the problem, once that module cooled it tested just fine, but was bad. Hope this helps!
Have a 98 2.7 litre that would do that. Before doing anything else, replace ASD relay in engine compartment fuse block (diy $12). Would start fine cold, but often would not start after shutting off when engine was warm. Had to wait until engine compartement cooled off. Was getting fuel but no spark.
If your engine is over heating it could get too hot and quit running, then start again when it gets cooled off. Otherwise, "something" got too hot and quit working, cools off and works again.
When will degree supplementary exams start?
If its on your pipes or covers, start the engine, heat up the pipes and wipe it off. Then clean the area, once cooled, with a proprietory chrome cleaner. Anywhere else, apply a few drops of engine flush and leave overnight.
Sometimes they get cold or start to freeze.
You could need a tune up, does it take a little while to start after the engine has cooled down?
