well the way you calculate the average annual temperature is that say you have a country that's called Aberdeen,Scotland and you have al the temperature's of all 12 months. so you take all 12 months and you add all of the temperatures then whatever answer you get that will be the average annual temperature. i hope you understood this concept thank you (:
