The northern ice cap is floating sea ice. Its altitude is sea level plus whatever thickness the ice extends above the water.

The southern ice cap is about 2800 meters in elevation at the pole. The land beneath the ice is estimated at about 100 meters above sea level, so the ice is 2700 meters thick (9000 feet).
