Depends which badger.
'Meles' - European, Asian and Japanese badgers,
'Mellivora' - Honey Badger,
'Taxidea' - American Badger.
The collective name for a group of badgers is a clan, colony, or cete. In the UK a group of badgers is called a sett.
Badgers don't have a different name in Britain - they are called badgers there as well. I'm british and I've never heard anyone refer to badgers by another name.
