The processor does the "thinking," as I said before, the RAM (memory) gives the processor space to "think," the video card runs the monitor or screen so you can see what is going on, and the hard drive stores everything that isn't being used, like your other programs, all your documents, pictures, etc. Of course, there are many other components to a computer, but these are the basic ones that are pretty much required for almost all computers.
