kinetic theory of matter states that
1.gas is made of a large number of small molecules.
2.the molecules of the gas move randomly in all directions . During their motion
they hit the walls of the container which is responsible for the pressure.
3. the volume occupied by the gas molecules is very small when compared to the
total volume of the gas.(volume of the container in which the gas is kept)
4. the force of attraction between the molecules of the gas is negligible.
the rate and energy of their motion depends upon their temperature; the higher and object's temperature, the faster its molecule
atoms and molecules are constantly in motion
The basic tenet of the chaos theory is to identify the dynamical system behavior that are highly sensitive to starting conditions. This is usually is best explained as the "butterfly effect."
Atoms cannot be divided into smaller particles.
Theodor Schwann, Matthias Jakob Schleiden, and Rudolf Virchow, invented the cell theory.
The organismal theory holds that the organism, rather than the cell, is the basic unit of life. This tenet is based on the following: 1) some organisms, such as fungi, are non-cellular 2) there are cytoplasmic connectors between cells in plants 3) many cells within multicellular organisms are highly specialized and do not contain all of the components necessary for independent existence 4) in general, single cells removed from a multicellular organism require extensive artificial systems to continue living 5) extensive communication among cells and constant adjustment of cellular activities and products is required to keep the organism alive There are extensive studies and discussions regarding this position vs the cellular theory, beyond the scope of this format.
The third tenet is that (currently at least) living cells only come from other living cells. The three general tenets are: 1) All organisms are composed of one or more cells. 2) The cell is the structural unit of life. 3) Cells can arise only by division from a preexisting cell.
this, basic goodness, is a foundational tenet of the shambhala sect of tibet buddhism.

Yes - here we are. A tenet is one of the principles on which a belief or theory is based.

The basic tenet of all religions is that humans exist. The basic tenet of the vast majority of religions is that we should be good to one another (a la the Golden Rule). For example, in atheism kindness is an evolution-dictated means to survival of the species (and/or proof that humans can be good without god). In most other religions it is a means to salvation. In Christianity, it is an expression of thankfulness to God for His work in the world. The basic tenet of all major religions besides atheism/agnosticism is that there is a reality beyond our typical experience (ie a spiritual reality), and the being(s)/life force therein dictate the means to ultimate fulfillment in life. Being less specific, the basic tenet of all major religions is that God/gods/a godlike something exists, and tells us how to find satisfaction in life, either on Earth or in death. :)
