The crust rides or floats on the mantle. :)
The mantle is hotter than the crust.
The crust is a thin outer layer. The mantle is much thicker.
The thin solid outermost layer above the mantle is the crust, and the crust is the layer we live on.
From thick to thin: mantle, outer core, inner core, crust.
The mantle is closer to the molten core of earth, so it is constantly heated by it. The crust is exposed to the atmosphere, which has some cooling effect, and the crust is, of course farthest from the core.
The crust is above the mantle and the mantle is below the crust
deep ocean trench.
No the Mantle seperates the crust and the outer core
Crust and the upper mantle
The crust rides or floats on the mantle. :)
The mantle is under the earth crust and is made of mostly peridotite, which is a denser rock than that of the igneus, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks found in the crust. The crust ranges in temperature from 200 - 400 degrees Celsius the furthur towards the earths core one goes. The mantle however ranges in temperature from 500 - 900 degrees Celsius the furthur towards the earths core one goes. The mantle has two layers and upper layer and a lower layer; whereas the crust has only one layer.
Mantle Is The Below Layer Of The Crust In Earth.
The crust is much colder than the mantle.
uppermost part of the mantle and the crust together
The upper mantle is in between the lower mantle and the earths crust Crust- the outer most solid shell of the earth. The Uppermost mantle and the earth's crust form the lithosphere.
The chemical layer of the Earth known as the mantle lies between the crust and the core.
