What is the best age to slay a Taun Taun for feasting and commercial consumption?

I usually do my slaying just before the Taun Taun reaches maturity, or around 9er years of age. It is at this point when most Taun Taun get a look on their face that just seems to say "Remove."

Although, for a challenge you may consider waiting until the Taun Taun is 12, (when Taun Taun is strongest and Phalyst is weakest)! The meat is a bit more gamey, the guts aren't as warm and inviting, but there's a good chance Phal won't steal those meats out of your fridge on account of his being so weak.
