I prefer Jupiter, although they can be a little expensive (around $900)
The Yamaha YFL-222 is a highly recommended beginner flute for adults starting to learn how to play.
I have an Anaxa flute, it has worked very well for me as a beginner. Even though it isn't a well known brand, it is a beautiful instrument!
A beginner flute player can typically expect to play notes ranging from middle C to around the D above the staff.
I'm in beginner band, and i personally love the flute!
Unless you want to buy theworst flute possible, you won't find a beginner one for under $100. I got my beginner flute for over $250, but this was at a reasonable store. Some advice--don't be too cheap. Never buy on Amazon or EBAY or anything online, because then you won't really know what you're getting.
Either the soprano or the alto both of these require less lung capacity, but the alto is probably your best bet as it is the standard beginner's sax.
Personally, I have always been a big fan of the Gemeinhardt. They have really nice beginner flute, french flutes which are open holed, professional and even beautiful piccolos. They have good quality and I find that they have the best sound.
heck, yes! they can be as expensive as a car! the beginner flutes are in the normal range for instruments, though.

As a musician, I would recommend one of the Yamaha Student model flutes. Beautiful sound, beautiful instruments, but still affordable-Caitlin The Gemeinhardt 2SP is also a wonderful-and fairly inexpensive-flute for a beginner. Avoid "open hole" models as they are much more difficult to control! And remember: only perfect practice makes perfect!-InThree21
i have never ever had a venus flute before i have been playing the flute for about a year now this is my second but i have heard venus flutes are a very good brand and they are very pretty and good. getting a venus flute is a GREAT deal. It all depends on the level. For beginner it is great but for other levels such as intermediate and professional, it is not
well to me it does, I mean it depends on u. if u are a beginner music u should start of with the recorder. that is what i played in 5th grade. it is very easy to learn but if you like the flute, than go for it :)
