It REALLY depends on what you plan to use the horse for.
My first horse was an arabian named All about me and she was the best. get an arabian. There is no one 'best' breed for a first horse. In reality you shouldn't even be concerned about the breed in the beginning. You should be more concerned with if the horse is overall suitable for you and your goals, things like breed should be considered last.
Any breed or cross breed of horse will work fine so long as it is sound and well trained. Don't buy a specific breed of horse just because some says it's the best.

In the game horse isle you are unable to breed horses. The only way to get a foal is to buy one at the pet store. Or you can find wild horses, trade other for horses, or buy horses. But you cannot breed your horse. But good idea

It is not possible to change your foundation horse's breed on Howrse. You can however wait until you are able to access the auctions or sales and buy a horse of another breed, or you could breed from your current horse to produce a crossbred.
Either breed your horse (if it's old enough) and get a foal (if your horse is a mare), or buy one.
All breeds are a good breed to buy for a pet, it is just a matter of which one you like the best.
You can get another horse on Howrse several different ways. You can breed a mare through reproduction by choosing a covering. Or you can buy one in the auctions. You can also buy another horse.You can buy a horse in private sales, in auctions, or breed them yourself. You might also look in the negotiations forum for a good deal.
