I thought Diamond had the highest thermal conductivity but when I checked some sites on the internet I found references to parallel graphite with almost double the diamond value of 895 W/m*K.
And then there is the esoteric Helium II at less than 2.2 degrees K (that's really cold!) which may have a thermal conductivity of over 100 000!
Diamond - crystallized carbon - is the best conductor of heat at room temperatures.
And to complicate things, some diamonds conduct heat better than others.
The next best conductor of heat is silver, then copper.
The best conductor known today is liquid helium II, with a thermal conductivity greater tham 105 W/m.K (at temperatures near absolute zero).
Pure metals, silver. Then copper, gold and aluminium.
1. Helium II, a strange material.
2. Carbon, as diamond.
Copper, Steel, Brass, Aluminum and Nickel
suck a butt
Metal.
Silver is the best conductor of heat. Titanium is the hardest metal. potassium cyanide is the most poisonous compound
Silver is the best conductor there is, no matter what it is made into.
In science, conduct means to serve as a channel. For example, water and most metals will conduct electricity.
it has a high melting point it is a good conductor of heat and electricity if you are reading this please email brian.taliban@gmail.com the location of chloe amores
A metal spoon - plastic does not conduct electricity
yes. these are the best conductors of heat: copper aluminum, glass, brass and steel conduct heat the best
No. it is not
because it's a good heat conducter Electric conductors tend to be good heat conductors, but the above seems reasonable.
Of course it is!
steel
yes,in fact it is good conductor of heat
Metals are conductors of heat. Gold is a metal.
the ability of a material to transfer heat through it.
Silver is the best conductor of heat. Titanium is the hardest metal. potassium cyanide is the most poisonous compound
It is a bad conductor of heat, that is why it is used as an insulating material.
means that gold can get hot easily
Yes because it can't produce heat and heat doesn't travel through it.
