Personnel of the Green Berets will make it very clear that the Green Berets are the best. They will probably say that they are the best at everything.

Unsurprisingly, the Navy SEALs are likely to say exactly the same. So will the British SAS and SBS. Ask the Marines for their opinion and they will say the same about their own service. There are many more just like these.

Each of them have certain roles to play, are remarkably well trained and all can rightly claim to be among the elite of the military. We are fortunate to have them as part of the Western free world and if I need military help, I would be glad to see any one of them coming to my aid.

Why were Navy Seals used instead of Green Berets to kill OBL?

Navy Seals are trained as a small, elite strike force whereas Green Berets are trained to go into enemy territory and set up foreward command posts, train local friendly militants, set up relations between locals and us military and prepare them for when the main force arrives. Green Berets are amazing, but they specialize in a completely differant type of warfare.

Who would win the marines or the green berets?

Do you mean the Navy SEALS or Green Berets? If so then the Seals, the Green Berets would never see them coming. Of course the Green Berets would beat the marines. Even if they were outnumbered 100 to 1. 1000 to 1, then it's probably 50/50.

It's one of those questions that is impossible too answer. They both ate highly respected and highly trained. Both have there roles in the USSOCOM community. Green Berets have been known to train foreign armies and Special Forces units. SEALs are masters at ship boarding. Green Berets are as mentioned great at trainning foreign units. They can both so DA's(Direct Action) and do them professionally. So to answer you're question, it's impossible to say.

Did President Kennedy offered to send military advisors to Korea during the Korean Conflict?

No. President Kennedy sent advisors to South Vietnam, not Korea. Vietnam was the slow-growing cancer that allowed advisers to become involved. JFK sent the SEALS and Green Berets to Southeast Asia (Vietnam). JFK authorized the "Green Beret" for the US Special Forces. The SEALS were converted UDT men (Under Water Demolition men, aka Frogmen); they too were converted to SEALS on JFK's watch.
