Israel is located on the southern half of the east shore of the Mediterranean, south of Lebanon and east of Egypt and the Sinai Peninsula. So like much of the Middle East, it is considered southwestern Asia.
The half tribes of Israel played a significant role in the division of the kingdom by choosing to stay on the eastern side of the Jordan River, which led to a physical separation from the rest of the tribes. This decision contributed to the eventual split of the kingdom into two separate entities, Israel in the north and Judah in the south.
While King Solomon reigned there was peace, but when he died the peace had stopped. The kingdom then split to the north half Israel and the south half Judah. The Northern part, Israel, eventually turned to polytheism and was destroyed by assyria, while the Southern part continued to believe in one God, and their faith was renewed by the prophets.
The Jewish nation is known as Israel. In past history present day Israel was known as Palestine; in Old Testament times Israel was the northern half of present day Israel, the southern half was known as Judea.

When Israel invaded most of plastin and quarter of Syria Israel felt that that wasn't enough so Israel decided to Inavde half of Egypt but it It failed to invade half of Egypt but it succeded to invade Sina. Sina looked like a Huge Island but it was part of Egypt so Sina was invaded by Israel. but the Egyptian returned it back in 1973.
