the truthful answer is what ever rifle you shoot the best,with the exception being that it is generally considered that at least the 6.5x55mm or larger caliber be used.The swedes have used there 6.5x55mm rifle with a 140 gr.bullet to kill alot of moose in Sweden for many decades.here in the U S many use the 30-06 and up for moose hunting,but I have seen them taken with the 270 win.also.So again it is with what rifle you feel you are the most accurate with.
