If there is swelling and pain associated with tooth extraction, the best medication to take would be a class of drugs known as N.S.A.I.D. or "Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs. NSAID's do not contain steroids, are non narcotic (which means non habit forming unlike pain drugs that ARE narcotic and habit forming like Darvocet, Vicodin, Percocet, and Oxycontin etc.) NSAID's work by interfering with the synthesis of prostaglandins, meaning NSAID's stop swelling, pain and fever. "Prostaglandins" are one of the many things that protect your body when trauma occurs, by triggering pain and swelling in the muscle tissue where the trauma occurred. A basic OTC (over the counter) list of NSAID's are as follows;
Aspirin
ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Nuprin)
Naproxen (Naprosyn, Naprolyn)
Naproxyn Sodium ( Aleve, Anaprox)
Please note that when taking these medicines to eat something before taking them so that your stomach won't burn or be upset. Also drink plenty of water and check with your doctor if your pain/swelling gets worse or if you have a fever and/or vomiting.
Basic medicine regimen after tooth/teeth extraction/s includes an Antibiotic and Pain killer or analgesic and if required an antacid. Antibiotic and analgesic can be from basic to higher range depending upon the infection present, and patient threshold for pain. Very Basic dose of medicine after extraction can be Amoxycillin 500mg and Paracetamol 500mg both 3times a day at least for 3 days. Hope I have answered your question.
oxycodone is the best, some dentists prescribe hyrdocodone
Honestly, all you can really do is put ice inside a paper towel and put it where the tooth was pulled and take Ibuprofen, Benadryl or Motrin.
Any type of pain killer
Anything you wish.
tylenol
For me, they put my braces on, not putting brackets on the ones being pulled, they few months later they pulled out the 4 wisdom teeth.
yes
u got your wisdom teeth pulled out dummy
Then you probably didn't need stitches.
Jana and Jill had their wisdom teeth removed.
they are slimy because you are a complete idiot
I don't know if it's OK. I have braces myself and my wisdom teeth are coming in right now. Unfortunatly, I have to get them pulled, if anything that's what would happen. You should wait until the wisdom teeth come in, and then get them pulled, because the metal bands may not fit around the wisdom teeth, and most people have more comfort when their wisdom teeth are pulled. I have braces and my wisdom teeth came through and my otho hasn't done anything to them.
5 - 10 days after being taken out.
Normal
