geforce 2 gts
1GB is highly suggested as the minimum for Windows 7 starter. I tried 768mb and 512mb and both lower memory configurations will run, but REALLY slowly. Also keep in mind that if you want to watch videos (especially HD videos) you're really going to need 1GB AND a graphics chipset that can handle video. Most older computers (Last seven years) can handle SD video, but choke on HD unless they have a dedicated chipset.
There is no way to upgrade the memory on a graphics card. The "limit" of memory is the maximum amount of shared video memory that the graphics card will occupy in the system's RAM. The best way to get better graphics performance in this situation is to buy a similar NVIDIA card and SLI them together.
give up. you wont get jack with $200 Nowadays? for sub $150: HD 5750 for AMD GTS 450 for Nvidia Sub 200: HD 5770 for AMD (just slightly above $150) GTX 460 768mb (can find it for $180)
It'll run, but very slowly.
I got mine up to 550 for memory and up to 650 for core clock.
Yes.
My computer specs are: OS: Windows 7 ultimate CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 @ 2.33GHz Ram: corsair 6.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 398MHz Motherboard: Packard Bell BV CLR0 (Socket 775) Graphics card: 768MB GeForce 8800 GTX (nVidia) HDD: 352GB Seagate ST3360320AS ATA Device (SATA) I want to be able to run pretty graphical intense games and do video encoding quickish and also use it for programs. I dont really have a budget in mind but lower cost the better plus I would want water cooling (who doesn't)
Thats legendary amounts of ram its definitely enought to run any of todays newest games like crysis 3 and battlefield 3.
Hardware on the phone models are basicly the same with a few key differences. for example EVO has only 512mb of Ram as where the Inspire 4G has 768mb.
Depends. the long answer: what kind of budget constraints are you in? The gts 450 is a lot of bang for the buck, but so are other, slightly more expansive graphics cards. If you REALLY need to stay below 150 bucks, you can't do much better, but for only 30 dollars or so more, you can get a gtx 460 768mb version which is a much better card. what resolution are you playing at and what games are you planning on playing? if it is anything around 1080p and you are planning on wanting to play games like metro 2033 with DX11 on anything above low, then you'd need a stronger card. the short answer: Yes, but definitely not the best.
no. You need "mac" compatible video cards
The Nvidia Quadro. Although there are much better options out there than the ones you listed me.
