What is the best race on oblivion?

THE BEST RACE TO PLAY IS RED-GUARD, BUT MAKE IT A VAMPIRE AND HAVE A WEIGHT OF ABOUT 15-25. USE A GLASS SHIELD AND ANY ENCHANTED DAGGER (and if wished then some light armour like the arena grand champion light armour). THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME RACE JUST TRY IT.(note that this includes equipment and other data, this is so you know how to work this set-up.) ONE MORE THING IS THAT YOU SHOULD USE THE SNEAK, BLADE, BLOCK AND LIGHT ARMOUR SKILLS TO PERFECT THIS SET-UP.

Argonian!

Because they are great with a blade and brilliant at making potions.

And most of all they can breath under water!

I disagree because the Kaharjit can see in the dark and don't get fatigued easy

Dark elf because they are come from the land of Vvardenfell , witch was the most awesome place of all because it was the setting of one of the best games of all time (morrowind), and because they look evil and are well rounded

YOU'RE ALL WRONG!!! I personally love to play with the argonioan, mostly because he just looks cool. (I'm sad, I know) But it really depends on your style of playing the game. If you're all stealthy and junk, an argonian, kajiit or wood elf is probably best. Those of you who love to feel the magic should go with a breton, or high elf. For those of you who have them fighty hands, use a nord or orc. For those of you who want a bit of everything, A dark elf, redgaurd, or imperial should do you. So there really is no "best race" only the race you're best at playing.

The races have their pros and cons. But i personally play as dunmer(dark elf).

it all depends on what you, as the player, prefer. any race can be fitted with a birthsign and a class that gives it an advantage over all other races, but most races (and some birthsigns) come with negatives. Personally, i like to thieve and assassinate people, so i chose a Khajiit (which make great thieves) and gave him the thief birthsign and thief class. if you add vampirism to a thief or assassin (both of which operate mainly at night) you have an amazing character in my opinion. but, as i said before, it's all up to what you prefer and what you're good at. loook this is blasterace im ultimate fan of oblivion but its righ personall im a imperial with battle mage sighn and a vampire wich makes u strong yaw like being 1 thing wile im every thing im master of thieves guild master fighter guild arena grand champion part of every club and mastered them all i got the ultimate person so enjoy the game

if you want to be a good mage i would be a breton under the sing of the ritual and be a battle mage you get all spells leveled up and it makes fighting alot easier.

depends on what you want. i personally play a breton under atranoch sign.

you get extra magica racially plus a 150 magica boost from your sign and can absorb magic damage. halfthe damage you WOULD have taken is put back into you magica pool.

plus full magic immunity with mundane ring on

The best race for a pure fighter would be a redguard, they are very skilled with the sword, if you want to be a blunt person, i'd pick an orc. They are strong and have great abilities when you start off. For the redguard, id be born under the sign of the warrior and should have blade, block, heavy armor, hand to hand, armorer, restoration and athletics. For the orc, be born under the warrior as well and have the skills of, blunt, heavy armor, athletics, armorer, personality, restoration and hand to hand I hope this helped!

You should choose whatever character fits you. If your going with a stealthy class then go with an argonian or a kaijigt (Sorry for spelling). For a warrior i would go with an orc or an imperial .For the Mage use an elf or a Breton.

11DBHK: Dark elf (imo) because while the dark elf has decent stats as well as great blade, marksman, destruction. if you also decide to master alchemy and sneak skills, you have a really potentially dangerous character

the dark elf can also make great use of hunter's sight and won't be bothered too much by the weakness to fire since they boast a resist of 75 right off the bat. even as a full vampire you'll still have a 25 resist.

It depends on what you intend to do. Each race has its own special abilities and skill bonuses. For example, if you want to specialise in two-handed, a nord might be best as they have a +10 bonus to that skill. However, the great thing about skyrim (in my opinion) is that no matter what race you choose, you can reach level 100 in any skill so if you like the looks of the redguards but want to play a sneaky character, it doesn't matter. So my advice is to choose the race that you think looks the best or will fit whatever you are roleplaying as. Basically, there is no out-and-out best race.
