Well, I think so much of that depends on your furniture, the size of your room, and your overall prefence. However, if your room can support a red, I'd go with a burgundy, as opposed to a scarlet or magenta. Maybe even using it that burgundy as a trim, if your room isn't big enough, but I say that because I saw it on a room a while back and it was beautiful.
